Cheme-Computer provides hardware repair support for systems under warranty from the following vendors: Dell, Apple, and Lenovo. We offer loaner systems on an as-needed basis when your system is sent out for warranty repair, with the understanding that the loaner must be returned upon repair completion.

While we can assist with hardware troubleshooting for most systems, please note that we may not be able to repair hardware that is no longer under warranty, not property of the Chemical Engineering department, or from an unsupported vendor. Additionally, we cannot troubleshoot personal hardware or hardware from other DLCs/Departments.

Printer Support:

We support troubleshooting for Xerox systems in the suites and common spaces. However, repair services are handled by icp-help@mit.edu (Copy Tech). Please feel free to contact them in our absence.

Lab Hardware Support:

We collaborate with lab members to assist with hardware purchases, setup, and troubleshooting. However, for safety reasons, we request to be escorted in lab spaces as we are not trained in all safety procedures or general lab protocols.
